Technology has the potential to improve the quality of our lives. Keeping track of something as simple as the foods we eat should be easy, but in today's world with ready-made meals, processed foods, and chemically ridden food. It can be hard to know exactly what is going into our bodies.
Hi, I am Danielle.
And I am Annabelle, we are the head designers at ……….. . With ……… we have created a simple yet reliable way to know exactly what is in your food.
With a click of a button ……… can tell you the specific ingredients in your meal and provide you with further information about these ingredients. ………. gives you all the nutritional information traditionally found at the back of food packaging that can be conveniently exported t your calorie tracking app. Meals can be rated, mapped and shared so you can always find your favorite foods in your area. The idea behind ….. was inspired by my sister who has a severe allergy to nuts so I wanted to create something to help people like her. So I shared my idea with Danielle who is passionate about health and nutrition and together we have created…….. . And this is how it works:
……. Used Spectroscopy technology. Spectroscopy is an analysis of how matter interacts with different wavelengths of light, it can quickly determine the chemical compounds in a given food. ….. is broken down into three components a scanner a smartphone and a database in the cloud. the scanner itself is a spectrometer this means that it emits light at food and then counts the photons that are reflected back to it. using this information this simple count we can create a graph or a spectrograph which shows the number of photons counted per wavelength. this graph spectrum is unique to each food and each food has its own fingerprint. once we have this information we can transmit it from the scanner to a smartphone using Bluetooth, the smartphone can then use its GSM or Wi-Fi connection to send this data to our proprietary servers in the cloud. which have algorithms that can analyze what is inside your food? the analysis is then sent back to your phone and displayed in a very easy to read format all of this happens in three seconds or less educating users about what's inside their food in real time.
